I am an avid photographer, traveler and recent student of social media and the WordPress bloggosphere. Armed with a Diploma in Business Administration from Vancouver Island University and a Senior Management Certificate in Web Design and Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, I worked as Operations Manager for Raincity Studios, an award-winning, internationally acclaimed web development and marketing agency based in Vancouver from 2005 to 2010.  I have recently taken on a similar position at 80 Elements Entertainment, while still maintaining my freelance photography business and planning future travel adventures.

I am very excited to have served as photo blogger, photographer and events coordinator for Vancouver Access 2010 for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and am excited to have had my posts also published with the Vancouver Sun and Canada.com during the Games.

The Olympics was an amazing experience for me and the Paralympics even more-so. Having been accredited through the BC International Media Center for the Olympics, and  through the International Paralympic Committe (IPC) and VANOC for the Paralympics, I was blessed with many inspirational photographic opportunities during the 2010 Winter Games.

I photographed politicians (Prime Minister Stephen Harper, BC Premier Gordon Campbell, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson), actors (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Donald Sutherland), musical acts (Tom Cochrane, Tyler Stewart, Wide Mouth Mason), and most importantly Olympic and Paralympic athletes (hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, gold medalists Alex Bilodeau, Sven Kramer, Shaun White, Roberto Luongo, the Canadian Women’s Curling team and many more!) And to top it all off, I had an opportunity to kiss the Stanley Cup!!! I am extremely thankful for the amazing opportunities and experiences that having the 2010 Olympic Games in my home city of Vancouver presented to me and am hungry for more such experiences!

I’m planning for the next big Olympic adventure at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. In the meantime, I hope to do more traveling to capture cultural moments in other parts of the globe!
